Corners (Los Angeles)
Psych/Post Punk

The worst thing about Corners is how it’s nearly impossible to find them on the Web thanks to their name. Other than that, the Echo Park quartet is nearly everything you could ask for in a Rock band. Until recently, they played their own surfy, Californian version of Psych Rock. The boys are promising a new direction, though. On the upcoming album, Maxed Out on Distraction (out Oct. 10) they’re reportedly steering down a more Post Punk avenue. When 3/4 of the band hold day jobs as professional sound engineers, you know they’re capable of putting out a polished record, even if it goes in a new direction. Los Angeles loves them. You should, too.
