Blaire Alise & The Bombshells (Detroit)
Mixing ’60s/’50s Pop, “girl group” shimmy with a Garage Rock approach, Blaire Alise writes bouyant, uplifting Rock & Roll delivered with an infectiously joyous verve. Alise, also a classically trained pianist, released her first recording (an EP with an all-girl Punk band) at the age of 15 and later she scored a full scholarship to attend Boston’s Berklee College of Music. With The Bombshells, Alise released the band’s first album, For My Darlin’ (produced by Detroit super-producer Jim Diamond), earlier this year.
